Tom Bachner joined Kate Capital in 2024.  Prior to Kate Capital, Tom was president of Mudrick Capital Management and from 2003-2021 Tom worked at Bridgewater Associates in a variety of senior roles, most recently as Global Head of Institutional Partnerships. Before moving to the investment management industry, Tom spent 10 years working in intelligence for the U.S. government. He earned an MBA from the University of Texas-Austin and a BA in Political Science from Yale University. 

Terence is responsible for management of the operational due diligence process. He is a member of the Valuation Committee, Brokerage and Counterparty Risk Committee, Compliance and Risk Assessment Committee, Multi-Strategy Investment Committee, and the Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in December 2005, he spent nine years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he specialized in audits for hedge fund, venture capital and private equity limited partnerships and collateralized debt obligations. Terence received his Bachelor of Commerce with honors from University College Galway, Ireland, with a concentration in accounting and finance. He received his Master’s in Accounting with honors from University College Dublin, Ireland, with a concentration in accountancy, taxation and finance. Terence is a Certified Public Accountant and an Irish Chartered Accountant. 

Bijel is responsible for portfolio management, investment selection, research and strategy for Hallador Investment Adviser's value-oriented, fundamental-research intensive, long-term, concentrated public-equities fund. He also sits on the Investment Committee of Hallador,  a Nevada-based family office, and the General Partner of the fund. Prior to joining Hallador in 2018, Bijel spent nine years as a senior investment analyst practicing a concentrated, value-oriented, fundamental research-intensive investment strategy at Norwood Capital Partners, LP in Larkspur, CA, and JGE Capital Management, LLC in San Francisco, CA. Previously, Bijel spent two years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Healthcare Group in New York. Bijel holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting with Honors from Indiana University.

Arthur Melkonian previously worked at State Street Co., International Fund Services, and Equinox Partners Investment Managment as COO.  Mr. Melkonian joined DS Advisors in 2024, as the COO he oversees all business and investment operations. DS Advisors is a US-based family office with an unconstrained mandate seeking investment opportunities with a patient, value-driven mindset. The firm focuses primarily on investing in the highest quality publicly listed businesses . Mr. Melkonian holds a B.S. in International Business from Johnson & Wales University and an MBA in Finance from the Huizenga School of Business at NSU. 

Ms. McGurk is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Millburn Ridgefield LLC, a quantitative alternative investment manager with origins dating back to 1971 and $11 billion in assets under management. Before joining Millburn in 2024, she was the co-founder, COO, CFO & CCO of Strobus Capital LLC, a discretionary macro investment manager, where she led all non-investment functions, including operations, accounting, legal and compliance, marketing and investor relations for seven years. Michelle previously worked at Metacapital Management L.P., an investment manager specializing in the mortgage and structured credit markets, and before that, at Protégé Partners, LLC, an asset manager focused on investments in small, emerging hedge fund managers. She began her career at Ernst & Young providing audit and advisory services to asset management clients. Michelle graduated with distinction from The Pennsylvania State University, earning a B.S. in Accounting with a Finance focus and a Minor in International Business. She is a New York State licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

Evan Newman joined JAT Capital Management in September of 2024 as the Head of Business Development. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Newman was the Head of Business Development at Geosphere Capital Management. From 2010 to 2023, he served as President & Director of Business Development at Mittleman Investment Management. Mr. Newman previously served in senior business development and marketing roles at HS Management Partners and W.P. Stewart & Co. He began his career in the analyst program at J.P. Morgan Investment Management in 1999. Mr. Newman received a BBA from the University of Miami and is also a graduate of The Peddie School. 

Elliot brings over 15 years of experience to his role at Global Return Asset Management, where he oversees algo development, risk, and portfolio management. He has an 11-year track record of delivering industry-beating results and has received awards for Hedge Fund Manager of the Year and Best Fundamental Growth Investor sponsored by BarclayHedge. 

Elliot built Global Return with a focus on the future of technology. The company has never used legacy terminals or data resellers, instead opting to develop a proprietary tech stack. Global Return’s investment process is powered by custom-built, flexible, and end-to-end automation apps. The company embraces innovation by dedicating the first Monday of each month to “Machine Monday,” a day devoted to automating repetitive tasks, with the goal of creating “One Click Operations,” whereby a single click completes an entire operations process. 

Serge Todorovich joined Shenkman Capital in 2017 and is Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, as well as a Principal of the firm. He oversees the Legal, Compliance, and Human Resources departments, and is responsible for legal and regulatory matters across Shenkman Capital and its funds. Previously, he was General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of Prosiris Capital Management LP and Associate General Counsel at Eton Park Capital Management, L.P. Prior to joining Eton Park, Mr. Todorovich was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He joined Goldman Sachs from Shearman & Sterling LLP, where he was an Associate in the Asset Management Group in New York. He is an active member of industry and professional association committees and working groups focused on the investment fund industry, credit investing, derivatives, and financial regulation. Mr. Todorovich received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and a BA from Tufts University.
